Aims and Scope
The Journal for Research Cultures publishes research utilising originary methodologies, strategies and technologies within transdisciplinary epistemic cultures. JRC specifically focuses on, but is not limited to, technology-assisted artistic research and the digital humanities. The vision of JRC is to provide a platform to consolidate unfolding knowledge communities that may currently exist at the periphery of existing research disciplines. Our mission is to stimulate the critical inquiry of technology and methodologies within these emerging research cultures. JRC, for both its audience and contributors, may include:

###Vision & Mission
The intersection and integration of artistic research, humanities, science and technology studies demands a platform for the in-depth analysis of the methodologies and technologies that are utilised. The vision of JRC is to provide this platform to bridge the divide between thought collectives by focusing on how research is done rather than what research is on. The critical inquiry of strategies and methodologies aims to map out a discursive territory for the transdisciplinary exchange of knowledge. JRC extends its scope beyond the academic field, including communities of practise, encouraging and fostering emerging research cultures that exist at the periphery of the traditional institutional frameworks.
JRC’s mission is to forge synergies between seemingly unrelated fields of research connected by their experimental nature and to stimulate the exchange of knowledge beyond the communication of research results. To assist this mission the journal is publishing as an Open Access Journal implementing the code of conduct of the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA).
